Looks like the RA at Sri Mekar Apartments,Bandar Puchong Jaya has set up their own Official Blog. Kudos to them. They are also having a Moon Cake celebration on 29th September 2007.

IOI with the Sun paper had a Tanglung Street Party to celebrate the Mid-Autumm Festival (25th Sept Tuesday) last Sat at Puteri Mart. Now its SPSetia’s turn or more accurately, the Residents Association of Pusat Bandar Puchong are also having something similar called the Mid-Autumm Festival at Pusat Bandar Puchong this coming Sat, 29 Sept 2007 at 7pm - 10pm. So don’t miss it as it will be at the Taman Tasik Wawasan (Basketball Area) and as far as I know, the crowd is usually very good every year.

My sis in law stays in Pusat Bandar Puchong while I stay in Bdr Puteri. They only have Maxis telephone usage while those Bdr Puteri can use Streamyx as its under a Telekom area. She said it was really inconvenient as Maxis only had dial up service last time. Well, this time she’s in luck. Looks like Maxis has come up with some very good internet deals. There is too many to say out but the cheapest option is the RM50 package for 256KB unlimited download on Wired Broadband.

Take note that this is a wired service and you need to be using the Maxis telephone package in order to subscribe to their internet service. At least its cheaper than Streamyx’s RM66 for 512KB unlimited package that I’m using now.

Had dinner at Restoran Double Eight at Puteri 7, Puchong last Tuesday with my wife. She had porridge and I had mee soup. The red bean dessert was also excellent and served by a beer girl!!

I wonder why so many restaurants around here have numbers in their names. Pretty weird. This Restoran Double Eight is located near a new upcoming hospital, Columbia Asia.

Columbia Asia Medical Center, Puchong is a Community Hospital providing multidisciplinary clinical care focusing on prevalent diseases in the locality. The hospital provides specific forms of treatment, surgical procedures and intensive care, along with appropriate ancillary services (clinical laboratory, radiology, and pharmacy services), nursing care and intensive skilled care. To be opened in 2007, the facility is Columbia Asia’s second community hospital in West Malaysia. A built-to-suit hospital, it was designed to deliver effective and affordable healthcare to communities in Puchong.

Had my lunch at Restoran Three Plus just now. Just mee soup did the trick as my stomach has not been feeling well since last Sat. This restaurant is located at Jalan Wawasan 2/22 at Pusat Bandar Puchong, near a 7-Eleven and Bus stop. If you are around the area about 6pm onwards, you will see a lot of Africans hanging around the area. I think that is spooky as the recent murder case involving 2 “gigolo” Nigerians still ring in my mind.

I’m going out of topic here but I wanted to post this pics I took awhile back. Those were really nice condos in Bangsar.

Couture Homes Sdn Bhd, the developer of the EMPIRE Subang SOHO and SUITES Project in Subang Jaya also has 2 projects in Bangsar. I took some pics as I was in the area the other day.

…Bangsar Couture Homes (oso The Loft) is located in the junction between Jalan Ara and Jalan Penaga……….theres oso a low rise condo between the 14 and 15 3.5 storey link bungalow …….its turning out 2 b a bit of a stunning development……v v v under-rated….sum thing like Bukit Kiara Residences…..think it will turn out 2 b an ‘oasis’ inside…..well, the external facade looks great.!!

I was just at Giant about 1 hour ago to do my grocery shopping. I had turned into OCBC from LDP side and wanted to turn into Citibank so that I could reach Giant. The road was pretty jam up and I decided to head up further to the traffic lights to make a U turn into Giant. Its getting pretty messy on that road since the flyovers are still under construction. The grass on the sideroads have been removed and I think they are busy widening the road too. I really pity those people who have to stand in the hot sun to catch the bus. I can’t wait for all the mess to settle down next year.

I was driving to work on 25 Aug 2007 (sat) and I saw an accident as I was approaching the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (Malaysia) in Cyberjaya. Mind you, it was drizzling at that time and there has been numerous accidents on that stretch of road. So if you are driving from Puchong to Cyberjaya, please be careful when you use the first turn in to that place. Otherwise, you can also use the other Cyberjaya turn off further down the road towards Dengkil. Its on the left just about 100 m after the main turn to KLIA.

About 2 months ago, another accident also happened to a fellow colleague who was driving a Satria Neo. He was trying to avoid a spinning car and jumped onto the ramp and got on the other side of the road. Luckily, another car on the other side manage to avoid him. If not, he would be in the grave by now.

I passed by the D’Alpinia Show Village entrance that day and wanted to go in to see some show houses but felt lazy. Here are some pics of that place, fronting the Puchong Gateway project. The D’Alpinia Show Village is located just after the Seri Kembangan junction if you are coming from Cyberjaya. If you are coming from the Puchong Selatan toll, just make a U-turn at the Seri Kembangan junction and you will see it.

IOI had a Tanglung Street Party yesterday at 5pm near Puteri Mart. It was a joint venture with the Sun to celebrate the upcoming mooncake festival. I really want to go have a look but I had a bad tummy ache all day long. Manage to take this photos while waiting for the traffic lights near Giant as I was heading to Secret Recipe near OCBC bank to feed my wife. She had the fish and chips set by the way and it was delicious. Too bad the brownie did not suit her taste. It was too mucky.
