Contracts Attorney/ Negotiator

Vontu seeks an individual with strong transaction licensing background to work in a dynamic, demanding environment (1) to draft, review and negotiate a broad range of agreements (license, development, services, marketing, reseller, non-disclosure, evaluation to name a few), in a pressure filled (but rewarding) environment, in compliance with corporate policies; and (2) to assist with the development and implementation of contract/legal policy and processes necessary to accommodate Vontu’s rapid growth rate.
Responsibilities:
-Draft, review and negotiate a broad range and a large volume of agreements in line with corporate policy
-Protect Vontu business model; ensure all agreements comply with Vontu business practices
-Work with multiple internal Vontu customers to facilitate prompt deal closure
-Develop Legal and Business Practice processes to accommodate Vontu’s rapid growth
-Report to Director of Contracts
-Work closely with Finance organization to ensure deal compliance with Vontu revenue recognition and SOX requirements
Requirements:
JD degree
-8 years experience at software company(s)
-Strong desire to be a part of a team
drafting, reviewing and negotiating software technology transactions
-Ability to rapidly identify and articulate the most egregious areas of a contract
-Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
-Excellent organizational, analytical, verbal, and writing skills
-Strong business acumen
-Ability to make confident, supportable decisions in time sensitive situations
-Highly responsive
-High energy level
-High integrity level
-Working knowledge of software/services industry revenue recognition guidelines
-Comfortable with, and eager to work in, a demanding environment
-Ability to simultaneously work multiple agreements
-Ability to manage demanding internal sponsors and timelines

-Adaptable to changing market conditions and both internal and external customer requirements
